Filled With The Holy Spirit

Ephesians 5:18-21 says, “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.”
When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, you are controlled by the Holy Spirit – your walk, your talk – everything is changed by the Holy Spirit of God.
Our verse today tells us not to become drunk with wine. Well, how does someone get drunk? He drinks. How does he stay drunk? He has to keep drinking. And that is the problem with many Christians who are Spirit-filled – they have become sober.
We need to continually depend upon the Holy Spirit by faith.
