Father forgive me for wanting more, more of the wrong things.
I know things are just that…things. Why do I want more meaningless stuff, and not the stuff filled with meaning? Lord instill in me a desire to want more…more of You each day.
Father grant me eyes to see, the way that your eyes see. My eyes see the wrongs, my eyes see the hurts, and my eyes see many things others do. My eyes need to see what I do…they need to look into the mirror and see what that guy has done.
Lord grant me a heart, a heart that feels the way you feel. A heart that knows the Truth from lies. Grant me a heart that loves, in the way that you love me.
Father teach me to seek your face, before I seek your hand. Help me Lord to seek your face, and love You because of who You are, not what You give to me.
Father enable me to be merciful, as You are to me.
Father apportion to me each day’s allotment of grace, for this is as necessary as my bread. Lord help me to in turn give grace to all that need it from me.
Father grant to me a generous heart, willing to give freely. Everything I have is yours in the beginning, now, and forever…including my life.
Father fill me with the Holy Spirit, that I may walk in the spirit and carry out Your commands.
Father teach me to return to the cross each day, for my life began at the cross of Calvary.
Father teach me to bless others, as you have so richly blessed me.
Father remind me each day to invest in things eternal, not in things of the world that will fade away momentarily.
Father teach me to be patient with people, people are not the enemy.
Father teach me to look past the symptoms, and see the problem…and then the solution.
Father teach me to use the utmost care in my words, for they have a tremendous impact on others.
Father I give thanks for your saving grace, through the Lord Jesus Christ who saved such an unworthy sinner…me. Thank you, that I am through the forgiveness of Christ, a saint and no longer a sinner. Thank you Father, that some day I will see You, and live with You forever. Thank you Father for the Holy Spirit, for without Him, I would never make it in this life.
In Jesus name, Amen.
