Pouring rain
Like endless tears falling from God’s face
Tonight it is pouring outside
I wonder…do the tears pour from our Lords face?
Over the sins committed by us His people
Do we ever realize, that our sins hurt Him?
Do we understand how much pain we cause Him?
Our tears are caught in a bottle
Who catches God’s tears?
Jesus wept; do you suppose the Father did as well?
The pouring rain, falling steadily without letup
How long will it rain, the sadness of One
Someday down the road
There will be no more tears in heaven

Good work, Greg! The agonizing joy of the cross goes beyond our grasp, doesn’t it? Thanks good friend… and God bless.
Thank you Mike, always glad to see you grace this page!
Very beautiful poem, Greg!
It’s a mystery what His perspective is but it’s no mystery that I can’t break His heart.
Thank you Debbie, I appreciate your comments!
I’ve got to start proof reading – I meant that I CAN break His heart.
Ooooopps! I proofread everything, and still make some mistakes. 🙂

That day may come soon I’m thinking! Thanks for stopping in. 🙂

I hope you don’t mind me doing this; if you do, please go ahead and delete this..I won’t be upset. Here’s a song God gave me a few years ago..it just came to me out of nowhere all at once..I wrote it in ten minutes flat..because He gave it to me, or else I couldn’t have! It’s amazing!
TEARS OF PAIN (A Song)
Shrouds of rain…fall down,
And I can’t help, but see;
Wicked past behind me…
So much wasted time…
Wouldn’t You agree?
Evil…won’t let me be…
won’t let me be…no no no…!
Tears of pain, roll down my face…
It’s like everyone I knew—
What You did, they wouldn’t do.
You gave Your life, You sweated blood,
Mixed miracles…with mud…
You could’ve walked…away from me,
But You wanted me so near…
I’m finally free from fear…yeah!
Tears of pain, roll down my face
Like everyone I knew—
It’s what You did they wouldn’t do. (repeat twice, chorus)
Reaching up to You,
Ran out of places…to run,
I can see the sun…yeah
So God,…here I come,
Fall down on my knees,
Forgive me, I beg please.
Tears of pain, roll down my face
Like everyone I knew—
It’s what You did they wouldn’t do. (repeat twice, chorus)
You’ll dry my tears, I know.
I want to be that person, too…
Because what You did…they’d never do.
Yes this was good Lyn! Reminds me of…me. I walked away for a long time. Then came back…He was waiting the whole time.
What an amazing God!
