“And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.” Psalm 9:10 (NKJV)
“I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.” Psalm 91:2 (NKJV)
In whom do you put your trust, man or God? Faith must exist if you are to believe in the unseen world. Your Spirit is the one who calls out and testifies that God is not only everywhere, but also loving and full of mercy.
In verse 12 of Psalm 84, the man who trusts in the Lord is called blessed. This would imply that by trusting in God, one would find happiness, pleasure, and contentment. Could trusting in God give us peace, and thus less stress and the benefit of happiness? Sure!
Blessings also come to those who trust the Lord by means of safety and a refuge from harm. He is a strong tower for those who run to Him. Usually, one does not run into harms way for protection. Therefore, logic would lead us to conclude that by running to God we find a secure place to rest and hide.
Those who seek God with all of their hearts will undoubtly find Him. He will not forsake those with clean and pure hearts who cry out to Him. For God knows who places his trust in man and things such as chariots, and those who trust in His mighty power.
By trusting God to protect, guide, and provide, you are living out your faith so that others might witness His loving faithfulness. Thus, by glorifying His holy name, you bless your Savior as He is blessing you. Trust in the Lord your God for He is trustworthy. Feed upon His faithfulness.
“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.” Psalm 20:7 (NKJV)
“Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.” Psalm 56:3 (NKJV)
“O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in You!” Psalm 84:12 (NKJV)
