I have had many conversations with atheists, they of course convey many reasons why God does not exist. To which I of course attempt to convey God’s goodness and willingness to forgive which certainly includes atheists. Now do not get me wrong here, I am not trying to impugn anyone’s character at all, but these conversation’s set me to thinking.
This was all started by this post: THERE IS ABSOLUTE PROOF THAT YESHUA (JESUS THE CHRIST) ROSE FROM THE DEAD! This is a great post and I recommend it highly, one of the best I have read on this, and no I did not write it!
One of the things often said by atheists is, “sorry, but having somebody ‘die for me’ is disgusting and reprehensible.”
Ok, well on the face of it I can for a moment see how a person could feel that way especially an unbeliever. I remember being new to the faith and hearing songs in church praising the shed blood of Christ…I did not like it. Then I began to understand and the reasoning behind why we would sing about such things permeated my soul.
