“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me.” – John 15:4
Galatians 5 says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.” Now, have you ever seen a fruit factory? No. You might have seen a shirt factory, but you will not see a fruit factory. You will only find an orchard. You see, there is no fruit without life. Later in Galatians 5:25 the Bible says, “If we live in the Spirit, let us walk in the Spirit.” He is our lifeline. You cannot manufacture fruit.
Friend, you’re not going to grow and produce the fruit of the Spirit unless you are walking in the Spirit—until you abide in the Spirit. And then, you won’t produce fruit, you will bear it. Jesus told us to abide in Him, and then we’ll be fruitful.
