The Bible is a narrow book. What do I mean by that? Well, there is no compromise with the Gospel. Far better for you to say 2 + 2 = 5 than to compromise with the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
I don’t know why people don’t like ministers to say, “This is the way it is.” Yet, they want their airplane pilot to be very narrow-minded when he is flying the plane. They want their pharmacist to be narrow-minded when he is handling their prescription. They want their banker to be very narrow-minded when he is shuffling their money.
They want everybody in all these disciplines to be narrow-minded, but somehow in the things that matter the most, like eternal life, they say, “Well, it really doesn’t make any difference. We are all headed toward the same place, just on different roads.” Have you ever heard that?
The Lord Jesus Christ said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me” (John 14:6). He said, “Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it” (Matthew 7:14).
