“Well,” Satan whispered, “I can’t afford to get rid of that one! That’s my chief tool—discouragement. With this tool, I can pry open a heart, and once I’m there, I can do most anything I want.”
I want to tell you that next to ridicule, I believe that discouragement is the devil’s chief tool. I know that more damage can be done by discouragement than almost any other thing.
Did you know that if you’re not careful, even you can get discouraged? Do you want me to tell you why you get discouraged? I’ll give it to you in a nutshell—you’ve taken your eyes off God!
Deuteronomy 1:21c tells us, “Fear not, neither be discouraged.”
