Have you ever doubted that God really is with you? God is with us in everything that happens to us both good and bad. Nothing happens that isn’t allowed by God. He has our ultimate good in mind, even though we often do not see this.
Before Paul was an apostle (Saul), he was a nefarious persecutor of the Church of Jesus Christ, even to the point of presiding over the killing of people who followed the Way. That all changed of course when Saul met up with Jesus.
“And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.” Acts 26:15
Notice Jesus took the persecution of His people personally. Notice also in the following verses
(Acts 26:16-18) that even though Saul had been responsible for killing believers – Jesus brought him into the Kingdom, and made him (Paul) an apostle who it turns out wrote a large part of the New Testament.
So is God with you and me?
Most assuredly – never doubt it.
