We as a nation are becoming more and more cruel, nasty and violent

“Now the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, ² Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.”  Jonah 1:1-2

(ICB)  Nineveh, or rather its people were wicked, evil, and extremely cruel.  These were nasty horrible people.  No small wonder that Jonah wanted nothing to do with going there at first.

In Nineveh killing and torture of all kinds was common.

Even by the standards of the time, their cruelty was legendary (the Assyrians). One especially gruesome panel shows military captives having their tongues cut out to reduce the screams when they were later skinned alive – also shown on the panel.  (Source)

I may ruffle a few feathers here, but it strikes me that America is becoming like Nineveh.  Not everyone in America of course by any means, but rather how we as a nation are perceived as a whole.  While we are certainly not near the level of cruelty displayed by the Ninevites, we as a nation are becoming more and more cruel, nasty and violent.

Remember the violence, looting and burning in the wake of George Floyd’s death?  How about all the violence perpetuated by ANTIFA and Black Lives Matter?  What about people (including well known people) calling for violence against and even the killing of Trump supporters?  The gathering up of trump supporters to “jail” them and/or “deprogram” them?  Or how about Christians, conservatives, Trump supporters, freedom lovers, pro-lifers, people who fly the American flag, and others being placed on a Department of Justice watch list as possible Domestic Terrorists?

Did you hear about the 13 and 15 year-old girls who carjacked someone resulting in the man being killed?  They will be sent to “juvie” and released when they are 21.

How about the censorship on Facebook and Twitter?  If you are a terrorist, rapist, thief, woman beater, or other criminal, you are ok.  If however you are against the vaccine, a Trump supporter, a lover of God, a gun owner, are against abortion etc., you are the enemy and are treated as such.

Ever hear of doxxing?  This is when someone’s personal information is released on social media, like their address, place of work etc.  This has resulted in people being attacked, harassed, and even killed.  Doxxing happens frequently enough to people like I mentioned above, you know – terrorists???

Men posing as women commit atrocities in female rest rooms with women and even little girls – the Left doesn’t blink an eye, and in fact justifies making it legal (and have done so) for men to use female restrooms thereby allowing men (transgenders) that say they are women to do these unspeakable things.

These same men (transgenders) play in women’s sports – the women don’t stand a chance against them.

LGBTQ folks are ordained as pastors in some denominations, or made deacons, elders and other Church officials.

Precious babies are murdered by the millions, some women brag about it being proud of their abortion(s).  Most Churches turn a blind eye to this abomination.  If you are against abortion, then your church likely considers you to be the problem.

The U.S. is the world capital for porn.

Just driving through Chicago now-a-days you risk being shot.  Crime is skyrocketing in NYC and many other large cities.  All this while the Leftists want to and have defunded the police.

Elections are stolen by the Democrats, because they cannot win fair and square (this is much more than just the last presidential election).

A virus is used to lock down whole states, people are/were made to wear masks that do NOTHING.  Vaccines are made that are KILLING people, yet the almighty state keeps pushing them.  Jobs were lost, businesses shut down permanently, the economy was severely damaged – all for power and control over We the People.

God is being actively kicked out of the schools, government, and even the Church itself.

What else would you call all of this if not evil?

Many of today’s pastors are the 1st Jonah, running away from the problem instead of preaching against it – can’t be offending people after all.  Even many people who do not participate in these things listed above, still turn a blind eye to what goes on this country and basically say, “oh well, it is what it is.”

Thankfully there are some who have tirelessly warned about what is going on in this country.  I call them the 2nd Jonahs (not all are pastors etc.) people like:

America has become a cesspool of sin and corruption.  Nineveh was so bad that they merited God’s personal attention to the point that He sent one His prophets to warn them.  America is in the same position right now.

Speak out against these obviously wrong and evil actions.  Support those who speak up, who defend the defenseless etc.  Most importantly – pray, pray that hard hearts will be turned to God, that God will strengthen those fighting the good fight.  Pray for an awakening of our nation, and a revival in the Church.

There are those who are warning America about what is coming – I wonder how many are listening?
