Thought for Today 07/08/2021: Are You Allowing People to go to Hell?

If you have a choice, and you DO have a choice, would you knowingly choose a place of torment and suffering?

By Greg Holt

“41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:” Matthew 25:41

(ICB)  I saw this on an enclosed trailer being hauled behind a farm tractor this am:

Hate crime: allowing people to go to Hell with no warning.

I instantly thought that no truer words have been spoken.  Today’s so-called hate crimes, or the things that the Leftists want defined as hate crimes are a joke.  For instance, speaking against homosexuality is according to the Left a hate crime.

31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”  Hebrews 10:31

Well, how about not warning someone that Hell is indeed real, and if one does not go to the Lord and repent of their sins – Hell is exactly where these people are bound.  Not because God sent them there, nor because God is unjust.  Rather because people make their choice, not choosing IS a choice – it’s a choice to spend eternity in Hell.

As Matthew 25:41 tells us, Hell was prepared for the devil (Satan) and his angels (demons), but those who do not accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior, will be spending eternity in Hell (The Lake of Fire) with Satan and his demons.

Here’s the thing, if you have a choice, and you DO have a choice, would you knowingly choose a place of torment and suffering to reside in FOREVER?

What if you could instead choose a place where your body is restored, perfect health, no more issues with the mind and soul either, like: depression, anger, hatred, sorrow, temptations etc.  A place where you are actually happy, really and truly happy.  All those health problems, aches and pains – gone.  No more sinning and wrongdoing either.

There are plenty of things in this life that we don’t like, WAY too many to list.  All of that will be a thing of the past in Heaven.  In Hell on the other hand, well – it will be far worse than anything anyone has ever experienced here on earth.

The thing of it is, there is a simple and easy way to avoid all of that, Hell that is.

Are you tired of being you?  Had enough of always failing, going right back to those things you would like to stop doing?  Can’t seem to find what’s “missing” in life, you know the one thing that would make you happy?  Looking for hope only to never find any?  Tired of the rat race?

I have no answers for you or anyone else – but Jesus does.

This is really very simple.

  • You CAN be forgiven regardless of what you have done
  • It doesn’t matter how long you have been a bad person, hated God, etc.
  • You do NOT have to be “better” before you come to God
  • God will NOT turn you away

All of that stuff is nothing more than a fairy tale, a BAD fairy tale.

All you need to do is come to God with a repentant heart.  What does that mean?  It simply means that you are honestly sorry for your sins, and that you really do desire to change.  You also need to believe that the only way for you to be saved is through Jesus Christ – you must place your trust in Him and no other – and certainly not yourself as many other religions teach.

“8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

You cannot earn your salvation, it is a free gift from God for you.  But you have to ask, God will not force you to choose Him.

At the end of all things there will be ONLY two groups of people:

  1. In the one group the Lord will say to the people: Thy will be done.
  2. In the other group the people will say to the Lord: Thy will be done

Which group of people are you going to be in?
