I have always been fascinated with fireworks. The cracks followed by a brilliant cascade of sparkles and glitter, the streams of light lingering for a moment, it has always set my heart ablaze in a beautiful kind of way. But have you ever thought about what happens when the fireworks display is over? What becomes of that magnificent explosion in the sky? After the gleaming, colorful flare, after the ‘ooohhs’ and ‘aaahhhs’ from the spectators, after it fades into the black, starless sky—where does it go?
No one really thinks about what happens after the fall. How it must feel to hit the ground after being shattered in the sky, after having all those foreign eyes watch you get torn apart, after losing that beauteous light, after being vibrant one moment, and faded the next. These are the moments not everyone would dare talk about—those heart-shattering, difficult times that drains you out of hope and makes you feel like trash. Relationships, career, dreams that suddenly fell from its glorious state to the ground. The moments when you’ve gone dark.
Have you ever had a great day, you are on top of the world…or maybe you have had a great week, month, or year. Then the bottom drops out of life. What happens then? This is a great article written by Mars over at Mars Of The Positive Toxicity. This is an open look at a particular set of events in this young woman’s life and how it has affected her, and how she is changing for the better after these things happened to her.
