Peace in the Midst of Life’s Storms

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33).

The Bible is important because it is inspired by God, it is profitable, and it will make us wise unto salvation. At least once a year, I like to preach a message to my congregation on the benefits of reading the Bible, and challenge them to open up God’s Word for themselves. There is a real urgency in my heart to see Christians get into God’s Word and start reading it for themselves.

This is a great article on reading God’s Word by Pastor Chris Jordan from The Beausejour Pulpit. Why should we read the Word of God? Besides the fact that God told us to?? Read Pastor Chris’s article to find out.
