Do you ever feel incomplete or handicapped? Are you limping along and looking for someone to blame for your trial or hardships? Are you shaking your fist at God?
Many things can leave us feeling crippled or incomplete. Maybe you never married or are divorced. I never found my soul mate and I have had to work on bitterness, as I never willingly choose a single life. It feels like it chose me, or was chosen for me.
The Word tells us that it is easier when you have another person to pick you up when you fall. But then again, Paul tells us it is good to be single so that we can focus completely on God. I know married couples have to work on a good marriage.
Another way to think about this is: What handicaps you? Is it rejection? How about an unhealthy sense of competition. Do you think you have to look perfect if you want any friends? Maybe patience or the lack of it is your handicap. Is it the storm you are living right now or the past you can’t put to peace?
We do not have to walk through this life incomplete. With Christ we are complete! He is our living bread, our portion and our cup. He is our living water. If we have an injury that causes us to be weak, it is when we are weak that God is strong.
Many people have physical handicaps but emotional or mental ones are often not discussed. Depression and anxiety are very painful. They can leave a person in a black pit with no rope to use to climb out. Fear can cause a panic and shut a person out of experiencing the world beyond their door.
So here it comes……. HOW DO you OVERCOME YOUR HANDICAPS IN LIFE? You will find that you are able to overcome obstacles through the grace of God and faith. God’s grace and mercies are new every morning. Pray for help, read the Word, fellowship with believers, and willingly throw aside all of your objections. By choosing to accept the path God has given you to follow, accepting the lot you have been handed by your Loving Father will be possible.
ECCLESIASTES 4:9-12
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor:If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.
1 CORINTHIANS 7:8-9
But I say to the unmarried and to the widows: It is good for them if they remain even as I am; but if they cannot exercise self-control, let them marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion.
2 CORINTHIANS 12::8-10
Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

I appreciate you insight. I am also reminded of Christ’s words when he told us that we have not because we ask not. It seems to me that there are a lot of folks out there are struggling and forget to pray.
Thanks for your comment and insight.
