There are times when weariness steps in and tries to keep us down. Hopelessness adds to fatigue and gives depression new muscles.  It is at these moments when we need to cry out to Jesus and ask for His strength and peace.

In fact, God offers an invitation to those who are heavy laden in Matthew 11:28. He says, “Come to Me.”  He wants to comfort us and teach us to carry our burdens with His strength and mercy.

If you feel like a leaf that has been tossed about by mighty winds, you are not alone.  First, there are many others who feel just like you.  Second, you are never alone as God is always right beside you. 

He is building new muscles in your spirit to counter the negative muscles growing from your depression, fear, or pain. The wind may have caused your weariness initially, but it will also be the source He uses to give you new strength and perseverance. 

Hold on to Jesus.  He knows you are shaking like a leaf.  He would say to you, “Fear not dear one! I am the Prince of Peace and a refuge for all who call upon my holy Name.  Take my yolk upon your shoulders and I will teach you to bear it, for in reality it is light.  You just can’t see that yet. You will find rest for your soul in my presence. Come to me, I offer you peace and rest from all weariness.” 

I pray your burdens are lifted and your peace is restored today. 

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”  Matthew 11:28-30 (NKJV)
