Doubts Are Shades Of Gray

Half Truth=Doubt WH 96 DPI
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord”  James 1:5-7 (NKJV)
Life is complicated. Some things are black and white, but others have shades of gray.
Jesus died for our sins and rose again on the third day. This is a fact. He is our Redeemer and the son of God. He promises ALL people eternal life, so long as they accept Him into their hearts and confess their sins. We can say this truth is black and white. There are no shades of gray regarding the gift Jesus offers the human race. Faith is required to accept this truth, but there are still no shades of gray within it.
A man and woman love each other and agree to marry as soon as they have enough money to pay for the wedding, and buy a house. It is okay to have sexual relations because they are engaged and intend to marry. Surely it makes sense to live together in order to save money. Right? This is another black and white issue. The Bible is very clear on the matter. Do not live together or have sexual relations before marriage. Period! No excuses!
Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.” 1 Corinthians 7:2 (NKJV)
Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.” Hebrews 13:4 (NKJV)
When you find yourself doubting the will of God, go to the Bible and read the Scriptures. He is very clear on what He expects from His children. Even if the world around you is as sinful as in the days of Noah, you must shine your light and choose to obey the Word of God.
Gray areas in life are often caused by confusion, or a lack of faith. Confusion may come from a scarcity of truth or details in a matter. Gossip is a perfect example where some truth is mixed with exaggeration or lies. Thus, real black and white facts become blurred into many shades of gray. A lack of faith will cause doubt too. Failing to trust in the promises of God leads to questioning God’s ability or will to provide and protect.
Dear One,
If you are doubting the goodness of God, consider the sacrifice He made by sending His Son to die for you. The love of God is beyond measure. If you have a big decision to make and are full of doubt, fear is most likely affecting your decisive powers. Ask God to confirm things. Sometimes, you just have to step out in faith and trust God to open or shut the doors of your future.
Abba,
I cry out with praise and joy for You are mighty in power! I step into the gap for this reader who is full of doubt and confusion. Please bind the enemy and block all of his fiery darts, for they are the cause of much uncertainty and bewilderment. Send Your peace to rest upon this soul and give them clarity of mind. Lead them to the Scriptures that will answer their questions and calm their fears. By Your saving grace and mercy, direct their steps and increase their faith. Enable them to boldly walk the path You have placed before them without any doubt.
On the day I called, You answered me; You made me bold with strength in my soul.” Psalm 138:3 (NASB)
