Hello!
I have been busy collecting my favorite devotions and compiling them into my next two books. This is a devotional trilogy… FACING TRIALS, FACING STORMS, AND FACING ADVERSITY. Facing Storms: Devotions for Thought and Meditation will be available on Amazon the first week of October. Facing Adversity with Wisdom, Praise, and Promises, the last book in the devotional trilogy will be on Amazon by December 1st, if not sooner. They will make great Christmas gifts!! Be sure to check out Greg Holt’s endorsement on the back cover (Thanks Greg!).

Here is an excerpt from “Let God Drive” from FACING STORMS: DEVOTIONS FOR THOUGHT AND MEDITATION.
“A man’s heart plans his way,
but the Lord directs his steps” Proverbs 16:9 (NKJV)
“When we set out on a journey or road trip we need a good map, or a reliable GPS, to get us to our destination. Before departing some drivers feel a certain measure of anxiety. They worry about the unknown detours and the dangerous intersections that lie ahead, wondering if there is any way for them to be avoided.
If we submit our wills to God and lay aside our issues of control we can relax on our SPIRITUAL journey, even when it gets bumpy and uncomfortable. Who better to drive the car and get us to our destination? Our Father knows all the roads under construction and the best routes to take. They may not be the quickest or easiest roads to travel, but He will certainly take us on the thoroughfares best suited for us.”

Blessings to you Cheryl! 🙂
Thanks Greg! I will mail you a free copy in October. I appreciate your help with this book.
You are very kind and gracious. I did very little, but thank you. 🙂
Greg, YOU have done a lot. In fact, you were the very first person to reach out and encourage me when I started to write. God has used you in my life and for that, you share in my work and blessings. 🙂
Cheryl, I LOVE the cover! Striking yet simple, and easy to recognize in a “crowd” of books, as well as for its subject matter. I know covers can be such a tug-of-war with our attempts at perfection, so I wanted to make sure to tell you this. I’m sure the material inside is just as wonderful! 🙂 Can’t wait to read!
Hi Alicia,
Thanks for the encouraging feedback on the cover! I always look forward to picking out my book cover but struggle over which one to select since it does need to catch a readers eye. I was down to three choices and this one just seemed to be the best choice. I want all the books in my trilogy (Yes, the 3rd devotional will be on Amazon late November) have a tree on it. I like to think of them as a tree of life. But most important to me is portraying HOPE in the midst of trials, storms, and adversity. I so appreciate your time in writing this comment, Alicia. Blessings on your head!
Oh, and if you have a moment… could you write a book review on Amazon for the Facing Trials devotion? Here’s the link. http://www.amazon.com/Facing-Trials-Meditation-Cheryl-Zelenka/product-reviews/1499504071/ref=dpx_acr_txt?showViewpoints=1
