Plant a seed in my heart, Lord WATER it, so I thirst no longer
Make the seed that of an Olive Tree Steady in its growth Fruitful, feeding many who hunger
Roots deep Supported by the words Jesus spoke While in the Garden of Gethsemane
Make me an ancient tree With a substantial trunk Patiently waiting for the Lord’s return A quiet witness of Your noble worth
Plant a seed in my heart TEND it with Your loving hand
Make the seed a mustard seed Small and humble but eager to grow Quickly sprouting to an amazing height
Faith resounding No doubt present Mature in the assurances of God’s Word
Make me like Joshua Who called upon Your power To hold the sun and moon still Trusting Your faithfulness
Plant a seed in my heart GAZE upon it, a flower of infinite beauty
Crush the buds, enjoy my fragrance Transform me into perfume and oil Wear my love, blessed Savior
Make me a seed Sow where You desire I know I’ll grow… No matter the soil.
Creator of all beauty Sower of every seed in my heart I praise You!
