Fear suits you for failure. Faith suits you for triumph. Fear and faith cannot dwell in the same heart. Either fear will subdue faith or faith will triumph over fear.
Over and over and over in the Bible, God tells us not to be afraid. “In nothing be terrified by your adversaries” (see Philippians 1:28). “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest” (Joshua 1:9).
“Then spoke the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace: For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city” (Acts 18:9-10).
“What time I am afraid, I will trust in Thee. In God I will praise His word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me” (Psalm 56:3-4).
God has told us not to be afraid (or the equivalency of that) 365 times in His Word. That’s one for every day in the year.
