A brother can be restored. That is good news!
God is the God of the second chance. Do you know somebody who has been overtaken with a fault? The Bible says you are to restore him. “Restore” is a technical word which means to set a bone that has been broken or to mend a net that has been torn.
The person who is backslidden has a burden because his or her relationship with God has been broken. One of the burdens we need to take up and bear is the willingness to relieve a brother of his burden. When you see a fallen brother, it is not a call to gossip, it is a call to prayer.
