First, you have to be obsessed with the Shepherd. You have to love the Shepherd. Second, you have to observe the Shepherd. Sheep don’t have good eye sight. You have to stay close to the Shepherd. Third, you have to obey the Shepherd. You can’t obey anybody whose voice you do not hear.
How are you going to hear your Shepherd’s voice? By having a quiet time in the green pastures, chewing and meditating upon His Word. That’s the way the Shepherd is going to guide you. Jesus said, “The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63).
