Jesus addressed His disciples, “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” (John 6:63).
God’s Word is like a seed—it has life in it. If you want to have a crop, you can plow, fertilize, and irrigate all you want, but if you don’t plant the seed, you’re not going to yield a harvest.
You know, this a prevalent practice in the pulpit today. There are preachers who specialize in plowing, irrigating, and fertilizing, but they fail to plant the seed. It is simply not enough to tickle the soil; you’ve got to sow the seed. If your church is not sowing the seeds of God’s Word, it is not going to grow. It is also not going to reproduce, because the life comes from the seed.
Do you want to be a soul winner? Then, you’ve got to sow some seeds. You’ve got to get out there and share the truth about the love, grace, and mercy of God in His Word.
