I was reading something of the life of Charles Lindbergh, who flew solo across the Atlantic Ocean. He was telling about when he was out over Newfoundland in dense fog and there was a lot of moisture. He could see the condensation beginning to freeze on the wings of his plane.
Lindbergh said he thought to himself, I’ll not make it. This great adventure is going to come to an untimely end. Then he asked himself, What shall I do? And he had a moment of inspiration. He pulled the stick back and that little plane started to climb and suddenly he burst out into the dazzling sunlight. He flew all the way in the sunlight.
We don’t have to fly in the fog. Oh, we can get near to the heart of God. We have the Word of God. 2 Peter 1:19 says, “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts.”
