The Time To Teach

What is the favorite word of a little toddler other than “no”? The word “why.” Don’t get exasperated when they keep asking why. That’s a God-given instinct. They are little intellectual sponges.
Isaiah 28:9-10 says, “Whom shall He teach knowledge? And whom shall He make to understand doctrine? Them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little.”
Do you see what God is saying? “Give me a child, and I’ll teach that child doctrine precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little.”
Oh friend, if you train a child with a tidbit here and a tidbit there, and that child is listening, then he is also absorbing. Childhood is such an important time to teach!
