“He [God] has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. He [Jesus] is the image of the invisible God… and in Him, all things consist… that in all things He may have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness [of God] should dwell.” (emphasis added) Colossians 1:13-15, 17-19
God is Spirit, invisible—unfathomable—unapproachable. How are we going to know God? Jesus is the visible image of the invisible God. Jesus makes the invisible God known.
