The Kingdom of God will be made manifest instantaneously when we die, we either will be with the Lord, or we will be in Hell
By Greg Holt
“15 and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” Mark 1:15
(ICB) The Apostle Paul said of the Kingdom of God that it was gathered together in (Christ) the fullness of time. (Galatians 4:4; Ephesians 1:10)
One could literally write a book on Mark’s verse. So much can be understood (implied) from this verse.
On the one hand, one could make the argument that at no time has it seemed that the Kingdom of God is closer to it’s full realization then right now, today. Take the following passages for example:
“1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” 2 Timothy 3:1-5
“4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” Matthew 24:4-14
“1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.” 2 Peter 2:1-3
Everything stated in the above verses is happening now except for one item. In Matthew 24:14 it states that the Gospel will be preached in all the world, that is actually very close to happening. There are few places left that the Gospel has not reached.
In another way, God’s Kingdom though not yet fully realized is and has always been here, all around us. The Lord created the earth and everything in and on it. Satan rules it for now, but the time is soon coming when Jesus will take back that which has always been His.
In yet another way, the Kingdom of God will be made manifest instantaneously when we die, we either will be with the Lord, or we will be in Hell. It can’t get more real then that.
“And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you.” This has been happening for a long time now – so-called pastors of mega-churches who need million dollar incomes, multi-million dollar homes, mega-million dollar jets – to help spread the Gospel of course. Then there are the fake healers that use this foolishness to make millions for themselves. Despicable.
Never before have we seen so many natural disasters. In California the largest wildfire ever is raging (Dixe fire). Earthquakes have increased the world over, tornadoes, hurricanes, severe thunderstorms, droughts, locusts eating entire crop fields, heat waves, lakes and ponds actually drying up, and the list goes on.
People don’t want to work anymore, many young people have no work ethic, preferring to play video games etc., parents are scorned and outright disobeyed like never before. God is being removed from all schools while Islam and LGBTQ teaching is making inroads into the same schools. God is also being dismissed from all public places especially government, including here in the U.S., under Biden this is increasing exponentially. I previously wrote about believers being seen as public enemy number one.
There are wars aplenty. Pestilences, or disease is increasing at an alarming rate, just look at the recent and ongoing COVID hysteria – which is in itself a part of the ongoing mission to control the people and bring about socialism and a One World Government – also prophesied in the Bible.
False prophets and false teaching/false doctrine abound like never before. Many in today’s Church are deceived into believing much that is not true – because of the teaching they receive, or lack thereof. Such as LGBTQ people can be pastors, parts of the Bible are not true, are only stories, God won’t REALLY send anyone to Hell, there is a second chance after death to attain Heaven, Jesus is not the only way to Heaven (the Father, salvation), abortion is allowable etc.
The love of many will grow cold, and indeed it is. It has become common place to read of pastors, evangelical leaders, Christ believing singers and others – walking away from God because they no longer believe. This is the handiwork of Satan, make no mistake, he is real and deadly – another thing many are taught is false, the existence and reality of Satan.
Persecution of believers in Jesus is increasing worldwide at an alarming rate, and that includes right here in the good ole USA. Elsewhere in the world, believers are being killed, summarily executed for believing in Jesus, and for refusing to recant that belief. I believe given time, this will also happen here in the U.S.
Laugh, call me crazy, it doesn’t matter to me.
Here is what IS important: heed the call of Holy Spirit, come to Christ repenting of your sins and receiving forgiveness, and the salvation of your soul. This is the most important thing you will ever do.
They say you can’t take it with you. But your salvation you CAN take with you so to speak. Salvation is an eternal event, if you are saved, you belong to Christ, and death does not change that. Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ (Romans 8:38-39). Read Romans 8.
