PRAY OVER THIS:
“When I kept silent, my bones grew old through my groaning all the day long. For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; my vitality was turned into the drought of summer.” Psalm 32:3-4
Do you know what happened to David in these verses? He had premature aging. There’s nothing that will prematurely age a Christian like unconfessed sin. But there was also inward groaning, agony on the inside. David spoke of his roaring “all the day long.” When God saves you, He does not fix you up where you cannot sin anymore, but He fixes you where you cannot sin and enjoy it anymore. The most miserable man on Earth is not a lost man; it’s a saved man out of fellowship with God. Here was David, a saved man, speaking of the aging that came upon him, the pressure that was there, the inward roaring and the groaning that was there.
