Prayer Bonds Us With God

By Adrian Rogers

For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.”  Romans 11:36

What is the origin of effectual prayer? Its roots are in the purpose of God. The prayer that gets to Heaven starts in Heaven. “For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things.” Prayer is God’s way of getting Heaven’s will done on Earth, not man’s way of getting man’s will done in Heaven.

  1. Prayer is a deeply personal and spiritual practice that can take many forms depending on your beliefs and traditions. However, some general steps can help guide you in how to pray. Firstly, find a quiet and comfortable place where you can focus without any distractions. Next, take a moment to center yourself by taking deep breaths or focusing on a particular intention or scripture. Then, express gratitude for the blessings in your life and ask for guidance or support in areas where you need it. Finally, close with words of thanks or praise before ending your prayer. Remember that prayer is a continuous conversation with the divine and there is no right or wrong way to do it as long as it comes from the heart.

    • Prayer is speaking to God the Father through Jesus (who intercedes for us), traditions have little to do with it. We are to be guided by the Bible, not mans’ traditions and made up rules. As to the “divine,” we pray to God, not some nameless “divine,” remembering that God IS divine.

      • Yes Greg. I can say that prayer is a personal and spiritual practice that varies from individual to individual. Some people choose to pray every day as a form of connection with their faith or beliefs, But everyone should pray to connect with GOD.

Luke 21:36 "Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man."
