“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” John 3:16-17
The people in Babel (Genesis 11) said, “Let us build us a city and a tower whose top may reach up to Heaven.” What they meant was, “We’re going to start here and build toward Heaven.” But that is completely and totally contradictory to all that God does.
