Revelation 5:9
“… they sang a new song, saying: ‘You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation.”
As Passion Week commenced, crowds met Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem by praising Him, saying, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the LORD!” Sadly, those same people would cry, “Crucify Him!” a few days later. Once hailed as King, He was mocked and rejected as a common criminal because they could not see the future. But that’s not true of us today. Unlike those in the crowd, we know the end of the story—Jesus’ empty tomb proclaims Him as the risen Christ!
