Iran: Media Filled with Worry and Speculation — Prophecy: No Worry, Tells Us Exactly What is Going to Happen

Jesus arrives on the Mount of Olives

The media offers Americans and the world endless speculation about the war in Iran. They debate President Trump’s plan. They debate what others are saying, especially our allies like NATO. The endless debate goes all the way to the pope. They ask the cardinals and the pope what they think of the war. It seems like the Pope is not really happy with President Trump or the war in Iran at this point in time

I’m not trying to sound exclusive. I don’t think I’m a know-it-all. In fact, sometimes I wonder if I know anything, but for certain I, along with other people who understand prophecy, know two things:

  1. We know what Iran is not going to do.
  2. We know what Iran is going to do.

We don’t need to guess at it. We don’t need to speculate. We know exactly those two things. This article is to inform you of those two things.

What Iran is Not Going to Do

What we know Iran is not going to do is gather up her nuclear dust and create the eleven nuclear bombs they now claim they could make. They will not build these bombs, nor send them anywhere in the world, least of all into Israel or the city of Jerusalem.

The prophet Zechariah, speaking in Zechariah 14:1-11, describes a time when the Lord of the earth, the Lord that created heaven and earth, the King of kings and Lord of lords, comes back to the earth and lands on a strategic place in the nation of Israel. How

could he land in a place that was destroyed by a nuclear bomb? Why would he want to land in such a place?

Zechariah says he lands on the Mount of Olives. He splits the mountain, sending part to the north and part to the south, and he alights in the center of it and begins to conquer the world and rule the world. This is the place where he starts from at the second coming of Christ.

If Iran were allowed to bomb Israel or Jerusalem, the Mount of Olives is close enough to Jerusalem that it wouldn’t be there, or it would be flattened by the nuclear blast. We know that is not going to happen. Prophecy tells us so.

The other conclusion that we can make from this passage is that President Donald Trump is helping to fulfill the prophecy of Zechariah 14:1-11.

It would be easy to conclude that God did pick Donald Trump to be president at this time in history, obviously for the best reasons.

We Know What Iran is Going to Do

The Iranians seem to have a hatred for Jews that is second only to the Nazis. We know that this hatred began in the ancient world. We have a record in the book of Genesis of how Isaac was fiercely hated by his brother Ishmael, basically because Isaac was chosen of God and Ishmael was not. Or at least he was not favored by God, and that created a hatred in him. That hatred exists into the future from Genesis, and it covers all of the Arab people who are kin to Ishmael. Galatians 4:22-31

This long-lasting hatred has morphed into something deeply demonic and ugly. School children in parts of the Arab world, especially in Iran, are taught from their childhood up to hate Israel and to consider the death of the Israelites a blessing to God. This is a twisted and perverse view. It is ultimately more twisted than any theology ever created from religion, because it is the opposite of the will and counsel of God. In fact, God has clearly spoken about the hatred for Israel. If you hate and try to harm Israel, God will reverse that malice and place it on you as an individual or as a nation.

It is amazing, with an increase in understanding and knowledge that is available today, that the Arabs don’t see that they are hating their own brothers and sisters because they are also kin to Israel.

But we also know from prophecy that Iran is not going to let the hatred down; they are going to carry it to the last minute in history. They will not drop bombs on Israel, but they will march on Israel along with strong nations from the north allied with Muslim nations in the south. This is biblical, it is prophetic, and it will happen as surely as the sun rises in the east.

It’s almost too simple. We know that the ancient name of Iran is Persia. It is a formerly powerful civilization that at one point ruled the world, but it is a spiritually backward group that has been subdued by the belief in an angry, ugly, murderous God who does not exist.

So what has Persia got to do with the end times, the last days, and the salvation of Israel? Here it is in a nutshell. This is prophetic. This is going to happen in the very near future.

According to the prophet Ezekiel a great army from the north of Israel and Jerusalem marches down into Israel in the last days, but they are not alone. They are accompanied by a great band of Arab nations. One of them, according to Ezekiel chapter 38, verses 1 through 5, is Persia. That means that while Iran is being subdued and may yet be even more radically subdued before this time approaches, in the end they still want to load the hatred onto Israel, so they join the march.

Sadly, according to the prophet, no one in that march survives. They’re all destroyed, not by an army of the West, not by some new enemy, but by God himself. Eze 38: 1-5
