I am sometimes asked by young pastors about the approach they should have when taking a position at a new church. Here is what I tell them: “When you go to a church, you must be able to do two things: number one, you must be prepared to spend the rest of your life there, and number two, you must be ready to leave in the next 15 minutes.”
