“Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?”
Jonah, having been called by God to complete a task, decided to skip town and stow away in the bowels of a ship headed in the opposite direction rather than to follow the instructions of the Lord. Thinking that he could successfully avoid the will of God, he went down below in the ship to sleep, no doubt being assisted by a gentle lapping of the sea against the hull of the vessel. But when God calls someone to a task, there is no place to hide. There is no hold or mute button to press that might gain one immunity.
