“For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.”
Ephesians 5:23
The word head here speaks of a leader. The husband is the head of the wife; that is, he is the leader. But he’s not the dictator. The husband is not some sort of a top sergeant to be beating his wife over the head with a Bible club.
