John 12:20-21
“Now there were certain Gentiles among those who came up to worship at the feast. Then they came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and asked him, saying, “Sir, we wish to see Jesus.”‘
It is my increasing prayer that the Lord would make us more like prophets and less like scribes. Scribes write about the things that they’ve learned. Prophets speak about the things that they have seen. I’ve read about Jesus, but my soul cannot rest with that only. I inquire with those who said, “Sir, we wish to see Jesus.” Now, more than ever, I want to see Him and to tell others of His awesome sweetness and absolute beauty. To think that heaven is heaven because Jesus is there, makes heaven the place I want to be.
