“If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one.” ~Mother Teresa
This really is a great quote. I believe a lot of us think that if we are not able to impact hundreds or thousands of lives, we think it’s a waste to just help one person in need. God wants us to all provide to those in need, even if the contribution seems insignificant.
Mother Teresa’s quote reminds me of the widow in Mark 12:41-44. This widow was only able to give a couple cents to the offering while many rich people around her were able to give significantly more. Jesus took this opportunity to teach his disciples that this widow put more into the offering than anyone else, because her offering did not come out of abundance.
God teaches us that giving to others has such a great impact on our life. Studies have even shown that giving just small amounts to someone in need has an impact on their happiness in life. And this happiness is related to the actual act of giving, not the amount given. The author feels convinced that the Church is in extreme danger of being forsaken by God for being unbiblical and seeks to warn all those with “ears to hear.” He believes we are in the last days of the end times, and that God is building His Remnant Church even now.
