Some words are over used; like, awesome, love among others.
That movie was so “awesome”
This steak is “awesome”
Is that stuff really awesome? I doubt it.
From Mirriam Webster: Awesome–: causing feelings of fear and wonder : causing feelings of awe
: extremely good
I doubt that steak instilled those feelings, the movie maybe a little. I have been guilty of using “awesome” for many things I should not. I’m consciously trying to change that.
Why you ask? Because only ONE thing is truly “Awesome” God is Awesome!
God as Jesus Christ came here to this little place we call Earth and willingly gave His own life that you and I may be forgiven of our sins that bring death. That we may have His forgiveness of those sins and receive eternal life with God forever unending.
Life here with God may be tough, even brutal. Life with God in the eternal realm will be anything but…it will be peace and joy unending – no more pain, no more sorrow, no more sin.
None of those things however are “awesome”, the One who made all those things possible…now He IS Awesome. God
