“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” – Proverbs 4:23
The Bible warns, “keep your heart with all diligence.” You must have the breastplate of righteousness covering your heart. We’re told not to give a place to the devil (Ephesians 4:27). He is watching—searching—waiting for any crack in your armor.
Wouldn’t it be awful to be dressed head to foot with all of the armor except for one little crack where the devil slips the knife in? A little poem I heard says it this way:
“Who is it knocks so loud?”
“A lonely little sin.”
“Slip through,” I answered.
And soon all hell was in.
“A lonely little sin.” Is there any attitude, action, ambition of your life that is not absolutely pure? If so, you’re a sitting duck for Satan.
