The Providence Of God

Adrian Rogers

One day a farmer came out to a pile of brush that he was going to burn and noticed that a bird had built a nest there, to lay her eggs. So the farmer destroyed the nest.
The next day he returned to find the bird rebuilding the nest. He destroyed it again. Three times he destroyed the nest, and finally he burned that pile of brush.
I wonder if that little bird thought, “This is terrible. I don’t know why my nest is being destroyed like this.” But it was a hand of love that was destroying that nest.
Do you know what we do when we murmur and complain? We are murmuring and complaining against the providence of God. You don’t have to understand all that God is doing.
In fact, sometimes you may think that God is cruel to you. We must remember what God’s Word says, “Giving thanks always for all things unto God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Ephesians 5:20).

  1. We can never understand all His ways! No matter how spiritually matured we think we are, we can’t understand what God is doing at once. He might choose to unfold it bit by bit to us. “He made known His deeds to the children of Israel, but His ways, only to Moses. I think I’m correct. I am blessed by this post!

Luke 21:36 "Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man."
