The Bible says this about Jesus, “Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men” (Philippians 2:6-7). Headship does not have anything to do with inferiority. It is simply that the home needs a head.
Anything with no head is dead, and anything with two heads is abnormal. This doesn’t mean that the wife is inferior. Both the male and the female bear the image of God. They are both heirs of the grace of life and one in the Lord Jesus Christ. They are equal before God.
But while male and female are equal, God has given them different roles. It’s the devil’s attempt to make men and women alike under the guise of making them equal. Oneness and equality are not sameness.
Ephesians 5:21-23 says, “Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and He is the savior of the body.”

Transforming Change
When Your Problems Aren’t as Big as You Think
Here’s where headship fails: single individuals, women with unbelieving fathers or fathers with other religious beliefs, orphans, it’s become a whole theology – a group of people who require women to wear head coverings because of 1 Corinthians 11 tells me that a single woman’s head is her father, a married woman’s head is her husband, and when neither are an option, the elders/deacons/pastors of her church are the heads of widows. Men apparently never need oversight, so as soon as a boy becomes a man, he is his own head. Some churches would say that a woman’s oldest son is her head in lieu of her husband or father or brother or husband’s brother. It’s really fascinating to see how twisted this teaching can become in specific situations. (By the way, the zoom on the other post has gotten quite large, is it supposed to do that?)
You are mot looking at this topic in a biblical perspective. The woman on her own is just that, on her own. Hopefully she has friends that she is accountable to.
The man is accountable to Jesus, he is not his own head ever. Headship does not fail, it is people who fail to understand the teachings of Christ who fail.
