When I got saved, it was so wonderful. The burden of sin was gone. Boy, I started out wanting to live for God and be so happy. “It’s wonderful. Here I am, saved. Hallelujah, Jesus! I will never make another mistake. I have been saved; my sins have been forgiven. I have the Holy Spirit in me. This is just wonderful,” I was saying, and then I stumbled and fell. I got discouraged a little bit. I said, “Well, this isn’t as easy as I thought. This is difficult.” And I began to strive and to try to be a better Christian, and I still failed miserably. I stopped saying this is difficult. I hung my head in despair and said, “This is impossible.”
You know what? He was right. The Christian life is impossible, without Christ.
You see, when Stuart Briscoe discovered that God is the God of the impossible and that Jesus Christ was in Him, then he stopped trying, started trusting, and let the Lord Jesus Christ live His life through him. He also stopped saying the Christian life was impossible and started saying, “This is wonderful!”
And it is wonderful when we understand that Christ is in us.
Here is an eternal Truth from God’s Word to take with you today:
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Corinthians 5:17-21)

Thanks for this reminder that it is Jesus living through us that makes the “Christian” life possible.
Amen!
THIS CHRISTIAN LIFE IS IMPOSSIBLE
When I make a fresh dedication of my life to Christ, I try my best to live according to God’s Word, but I fail.
I experience frustration and defeat every time.
I can’t live Christian life in my own strength and resist temptation by my own willpower.
Only Christ can successfully live the victorious Christian life for His resurrection reflects His victory over the power of sin and death.
The stories of miraculous life transformation fuel my faith in the transformative power of God’s Word more than anything else.
Therefore Jesus lives in me to strengthen, enable and give me the ability to do what He expects out of me.
Every tree must grow on the root from which it springs. An oak tree three hundred years old grows all the time on the one root from which it had its beginning. Christianity had its beginning in the omnipotence of God, and in every soul it must have its continuance in that omnipotence. All the possibilities of the higher Christian life have their origin in a new apprehension of Christ’s power to work all God’s will in us.
Thank you 🙂
