No if’s, and’s, or but’s about it…if you trust Him, He shall direct your path.
But how will I know what He wants me to do?
God will speak to you through His Word as you seek Him with all your heart. Psalm 119:105 says, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” How are you going to find God’s way? By following His Word. The wisdom to rightly respond to many of the moral dilemmas we face is found in God’s Word.
I have had men come to me for counseling who are struggling with fidelity issues. One man said to me, “Pastor, you know I am married, but there is another woman I feel God wants me to marry. Would you pray with me about this?” Without so much as blinking an eye, I responded, “Frankly, there is no need to pray. God is not going to change His Word for you. His Word says one woman for one man until death do you part. Now, go work on your marriage.”
If we ever want to experience God’s will, we must first know God’s Word.
