The word “theos” means God and the word “logos” means word. So a theologian is someone who is supposed to know the Word of God. I don’t know why they call them “theologians.” Because they don’t believe the logos, they must not know the Theos. They are like Grape Nuts – neither grapes nor nuts.
The truth is that these theologians set themselves up for judgment from the Word of God. We are not to judge the Word of God; the Word of God is to judge us. “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12).
If ever a generation needed to be faithful to the faith, it is this current generation. We are just one generation away from paganism. If we don’t pass God’s Word along to the next generation, they won’t have it. Friend, we are stewards of the faith of God. 1 Corinthians 4:2 says, “Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.”
