Oh yes, there will be mourning. Oh yes, there will be seriousness. But the one thing I want to characterize our church services more than anything else is joy.
Do you know most people are not even worried about going to heaven or hell? They are just longing for some real joy in their lives. Jesus said, “These things have I spoken unto you, that My joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full” (John 15:11).
1 Thessalonians 5:16 says, “Rejoice evermore.” Philippians 4:4-5 says, “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.”
