Omnipotent. Omnipresent. Omniscient. God is all-powerful, all-present, and all-knowing. We serve a BIG God. Too often we forget His mighty power and crumble when adversity or trials come our way. Instead of telling God how big your trial is (He already knows), why not remind yourself of His might?
Isn’t it a comfort to worship a God we cannot exaggerate? ~ Francis Chan
God is bigger than our fears, anger, trials, and failures. His forgiveness has no bounds.
His love for us does not diminish when we are weak and sinful. His love is constant.
“Then Peter came to Him and asked, ‘Lord, how many times will my brother sin against me and I forgive him and let it go? Up to seven times?’ Jesus answered him, ‘I say to you, not up to seven times, but seventy times seven.’” Matthew 18:21-22 (NKJV)
“The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: ‘I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.’” Jeremiah 31:3 (NIV)
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for His steadfast love endures forever.” Psalm 136:1 (NKJV)
When we need refuge and protection, He is our strong tower. When we are helpless, He is our help. When we need strength, He is our power.
“The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.”
“Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’” Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV)
“He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.” Isaiah 40:29 (NKJV)
If we find ourselves in a dark place or confused, He is our guide and source of light. He will lead us to safety. We belong to a remarkable God.
“Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’
Whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.”
Isaiah 30:21 (NKJV)
“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.” John 16:13 (NKJV)
Our God is bigger and greater than we can fathom. He spoke the universe into existence (Psalm 33:9). He knit each one of us together inside our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). We are unique and have a special purpose to fulfill for His glory (Ephesians 2:10). Our God is a God of miracles. Consider Daniel and the lion’s den. He survived! The parting of the Red Sea, the destruction of the Wall of Jericho, healing a person born blind, and raising the dead is just a few miracles Jesus performed. (Daniel 6, Exodus 14:21-31, Joshua 6:1-21, John 9, John 11:38-44).
When you approach a roadblock or face something you consider impossible to overcome, remember that you serve a God who can do all things. Our God is big… really, really big. Praise Him!
“Jesus replied, ‘What is impossible with man is possible with God.’” Luke 18:27 (NKJV)
“God did extraordinary miracles through Paul.” Acts 19:11 (NIV)
“You are the God who performs miracles; You display Your power among the peoples.” Psalm 77:14 (NIV)
