Why the Leftist’s Cry of “Foul” Rings False

By Greg Holt

Karen Valby, who writes for leftist magazine Vanity Fair, recently wrote an article, more like a brief statement of opinion – crying foul.  Check out her post’s rather telling title:

On The Apprentice, Donald Trump Showed Us Who He Was. If Only We Had Listened.”

She starts out by saying that rewatching Donald Trump’s series The Apprentice is something she would highly recommend that We the People NOT do.

Valby goes on to say that Amazon has decided to stream Trump’s show, and that Amazon’s rich owner, Jeff Bezos contributed a million dollars to Trump’s inaugural fund.  Then states that Amazon (Those dastardly fiends) has secured the rights to do a documentary on the First Lady, Melania Trump.  Of course, this deal is worth millions.

The heart of the matter is displayed when Valby cries foul that these deals will line the pockets of the First Couple.

I have to laugh when leftists make such stupid statements like this.

Where was that righteous outrage when Joe Biden was vice-president and his son Hunter Biden was making MILLIONS of dollars off of a very lucrative deal as a board member of a Ukrainian company?  A company (Burisma) he helped to protect using the influence of the Biden name and his father’s political power.  What about Hunter Biden’s drug habit and “lady of the evening fueled nights”?

Hunter’s tax evasion and tax fraud?

What about the Clinton’s wealth, and their highly questionable ethics as well as their actions?

No leftist has cried foul concerning Barack and Michelle Obama’s fortune, which was made courtesy of Barack having been president.

Valby’s last comment is really not laughable, but it IS entirely ludicrous:

“Democracy dies in backroom deals at the hands of dark billionaires”  (Source)

It’s funny to me how leftists can major in influence peddling to benefit themselves, and fellow leftists don’t even blink an eye – but let a Republican do the same, and all Hell breaks loose.

It is a given that most all politicians profit monetarily from their office, I’m not even disputing the right or wrong of it here, but it’s completely ridiculous when the entitled leftist’s whine and cry about this stuff when it’s on the other side of the fence, but seem to be wearing blinders and ear plugs when it occurs on their own side.

Considering that Valby seems to be all in a kerfuffle over Jeff Bezos’ Amazon streaming Trump’s The Apprentice, the same entity being set to do a documentary on Melania Trump, as well as having contributed 1 million dollars to Trump’s inaugural fund, I wonder where Valby’s (And other leftists) outrage was when the very same Bezos contributed 100 MILLION dollars to the Obama Foundation?  Anyone???  Amazon also banned conservative voices, blocked a book critical of transgenders etc., but all of that was just fine, right?

How about the Obama’s reported 50-MILLION-dollar deal with Netflix?  The reported 65-MILLION-dollar deal with Penguin Random House for their respective memoirs?

Where is the indignation for over nearly half of the former elected officials becoming lobbyists and making millions (Most U.S. Senators and Representatives are already millionaires before leaving office) using their influence on Capitol Hill?

I noticed too that there was a distinct lack of response on the left to the fact that Joe Biden after having stated that he would NOT pardon his son Hunter Biden, thus respecting the rule of law, DID in fact pardon Hunter for his gun and tax fraud convictions.  Color me not at all surprised.

I think the REAL problem for the leftists is that their complete and total choke hold on the United States of America is lessening by the day, and this fact isn’t sitting well with them at all.

  1. Another true post. I’ve said for years, “If you want to become a millionaire, go into politics.”

    • Yes, rich or “poor,” you come out wealthier for sure with plenty of influence. It’s not “We the People,” it’s, “We the Rich and Elite.” Blessings to you Sue. 🙂

Luke 21:36 "Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man."
