Imagine being commissioned to paint a portrait of a person you’ve never seen. That’s kind of what the Old Testament prophets did as a collective group. These many prophets did not see what the others had “painted.” One painted his part, another painted his part, and so on, as they compiled a word portrait of the Son of God.
