I recently had a short conversation on Gab about Catholics and Protestants. I came across a video posted by this person, and the title claims that all Protestants are Catholics. Wow, I was stunned, to say the least, I was even more stunned when I watched the video.
I don’t normally call people out by name, well in this case his Gab screen name, his real name is Clinton. He calls himself, “The Word Prophet”. This man is no prophet, let alone someone who has a clear understanding of the Bible – he’s dangerous, what he “teaches” is utter nonsense, and directly contradicts the Bible, he is a false prophet, and should be avoided.
Below is his video “proving” that all Protestants, regardless of denomination are Catholics, watch the video, it’s unreal.
Here is part of his channel description on YouTube:
“I am called of God to send his word into the churches of the world, in every nation. I am not a theologian, or a seminarian. I am a humble priest; and that which I give here is that Living Bread which came down from heaven. The word of God is truth, and is settled forever in heaven. It is not up for debate, and there will be no debates here.”
So, in other words, what he is saying here is, “I’m always right, and there will be no arguing with me.” This guy is very arrogant, and absolutely convinced that his interpretation is always correct, and if you dare to argue with him, well, you are going to Hell. Yes, he actually told me that.
Back to the video. A Protestant, according to TWP, is one who protests. That is actually the word’s secondary meaning, the first, is one who is not a member of the Catholic church. Protestants are therefore, according to TWP, Catholic people, who are protesting against their own church, that being the Catholic church.
Another reason why Protestants are Catholics, is because their “church” buildings are similar, yes, you read that correctly. The Protestant churches are filled with free masonry and satanic signs as well, so he says.
Yet another reason Protestants are Catholics, is because in some denominations, the pastors wear “costumes,” for lack of a better word, like the Catholic priests do.
TWP also stated that Catholics and Protestants, who remember are exactly the same, believe in a false doctrine found nowhere in the Bible – the Trinity, or the Triune God. TWP says that this is a false doctrine that has nothing in common with Christianity, period. He goes on to say that the Trinity doctrine is pagan, and all who believe in the Trinity – are not saved.
Jesus, God, and Holy Spirit (Ghost), according to TWP, are all names for the same God, not three manifestations of one God, one singular God. Consider the following verse, which when interpreted in TWP’s theological stance, this verse makes no sense at all!
“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.” 2 Corinthians 13:14
See also: Luke 23:46; 1 Corinthians 8:6; John 1:1; John 14:6; Matthew 28:18; Philippians 2:6
TWP also states that repenting of sin and believing in Jesus (Genuine belief) does not save you! You have to be baptized in order to be saved! That is a lie. Think about this, if one has to be baptized in order to be saved, then Jesus Christ LIED when He told the thief on the cross next to Him, that he would be with Jesus today in paradise (Luke 23:42-43).
He goes on to say that liturgy, the planning out of a church service is unbiblical, it’s an act, it’s entertainment, and has nothing to do with Jesus or His Church. All seminaries are deceptive and ungodly, unbiblical – as they are run by the Catholic masters. Theology is also wrong, it is carnal, it is man pretending to understand the things of God.
I replied to TWP mentioning some of what I have stated here, here are some parts of his replies to me:
“And you are presently among that multitude; for you do not know the Lord Jesus Christ, you have not obeyed his gospel, and are yet dead in your sins, and hellbound; and still bringing reproach against Christians for preaching God’s word to you, just like a brash and uncultured little harlot (like mother, like daughter). **Note – “mother” is the Catholic church, “daughter” is the Protestant churches**
“God sent you to me so that you could learn of his word, and of his gospel, and be saved from your sins, and from the coming wrath. But you exalted yourself in your pride and imagine that your lies will cover you in the day of his wrath.
“In this you have greatly erred.
“You have rejected the word of God, and the gospel of Jesus Christ; and I therefore reject you as I am commanded of God.
“Your blood be upon you.
My hands are clean.”
Wow, arrogant, condescending, and quick to judge and condemn others, all based on The Word Prophet’s criteria.
In other posts, he states that there is no salvation without baptism. TWP also states in yet another post (YouTube video here), that the Baptists – are not Christians, none of them are saved. Why? Because again, they believe in the Trinity, and if you believe in the Trinity: “You can’t possibly be a Christian, because you can’t possibly obey the gospel of Jesus Christ.” TWP also states that being “born again” does not save you, it only allows you to “see” the kingdom of God, whatever that means.
Baptism saves you, according to TWP. Except that, this stance violates Ephesians 2:8-9 –
“8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
Either salvation is the gift of God, or you must perform some “work(s)” to attain it, you can’t have it both ways.
In another post/video, TWP claims that Jesus is the Son of God, He cannot be God the Son. “Is Jesus Christ the Son of God? or God the Son? (He cannot be both)”. According to TWP, Jesus was a man, only a man, a man who was “anointed” by His Father, “no one is born a god, that’s a fairy tale,” says the TWP. Yet another serious misunderstanding, Jesus wasn’t “born” a god, He has always been God. So, God came to Earth as a man, so what? God appeared many times as a man in the OT.
The Word Prophet’s unbiblical teaching, the supremely arrogant attitude, and the quick accusation/response that if you do not agree with him and his positions, then you are going to hell – these are the characteristics of a false prophet.
“And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.” Matthew 24:11
“6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” Galatians 1:6-9
