Poor snowman! The child lovingly tied a scarf around his neck and then went inside for some hot cocoa. Unprotected by his creator, the evil little bunnies try to rob the newly created snow person of his nose!
Isn’t it just like the devil to attack us when we least expect it? He enjoys harassing new believers but he also loves a surprise attack on those of us who have walked a few miles and years with God. All of us are fair game when it comes to spiritual warfare.
During the holiday season there is more stress and activity in our lives. Children are excited and even more demanding. Everyday chores still need to be done and the added expectations from everyone around us can send us into a puddle of tears. This is when a bath would serve you well but don’t forget to pray while you soak!
God, unlike the child drinking cocoa in his house, never leaves us unprotected. There is an angel army just waiting to serve Him at His command. All you need to do is cry out to God for help and they are dispatched. He may be in His “house” but He can always see you. He knows your needs and is always close by your side.
Don’t forget to pray before your day has started. Ask the Lord to grant you the patience and self-control to make it through your day. May wisdom abound as you face decisions of many kinds and I pray that His love becomes and warmth in your heart. Enjoy the blessings of today and the time you spend with your family.
EPHESIANS 6:12
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
PSALM 121:1-3
I look to the mountains; where will my help come from?My help will come from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.He will not let you fall;
your protector is always awake.
