Matthew 7:15-20 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Matthew Vines…“The Bible is not anti-gay. It never addresses the issues of same-sex orientation or loving same-sex relationships, and the few verses that some cite to oppose those relationships have nothing to do with LGBT people,”

Really? What Bible are you reading Matthew? It surely is not any Bible I have ever read, nor do I want to. This is simply one more extremely dangerous man attempting to lead the flock astray, unfortunately I am sure he will cause much damage in the Church. Those who believe in this type of heresy are condemning themselves before Christ and helping to lead others into sin. Those such as Matthew Vines that teach this kind of blatant evil that flies in the face of God’s Word will most certainly be held accountable for doing so, and at a higher level than others. James 3:1 My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment.

The following verses (at the end of this commentary) easily refute Matthew’s claim that there are no verses that apply to “loving same sex relationships” or LBGT people. I challenge ANYONE to show ONE verse in the Bible that shows God is ok with same sex marriage, same sex relationships, homosexuality etc. There are not any…also if God was ok with same sex marriage and LBGT people doing what they do, would there not be a verse in the Bible that makes that clear? This is just one more false teacher who thinks he can do an end run around God’s word! You may fool yourself and unfortunately others thus causing them severe harm Mr. Vines…but you will NOT fool God.

Do NOT fall for this kind of garbage! Any of us who follow Jesus are to love all people, including the LBGT people…that in NO way means we are to accept and condone their sinful behavior. The homosexual agenda is gaining strength and influence, unfortunately this agenda of evil is also gaining a large foothold in the Church as supposed Believers in Christ are actually buying this nonsense. God’s Word clearly teaches against same sex unions of any kind…period. The fault for this lies in part on pastors who refuse to teach what God’s word says, and on the lay people who refuse to study the Word of God for themselves and verify what they are being taught!

Wake up people!!! Study the Bible for yourself and see if what I’m saying here is true! The opinion that matters most to you should be God’s…not Matthew Vine’s and not mine. Study the following verses to see what God has to say…

1-corinthians 6:9-10 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals,nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

Leviticus 18:22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them.

Romans 1:26-27 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

WICHITA – A homosexual advocacy group is recruiting volunteers to influence churches nationwide to embrace homosexuality.

The Reformation Project describes itself as “a Bible-based, Christian non-profit organization that seeks to reform church teaching on sexual orientation and gender identity.” Based in Wichita, Kansas, the organization aims to “accelerate the acceptance of LGBT people in the Church.”

Matthew Vines, 23, leads the effort, and organized a conference last month for 50 selected volunteers who will go into their churches and work to convince their congregations that homosexuality is not sinful.

“The Bible is not anti-gay. It never addresses the issues of same-sex orientation or loving same-sex relationships, and the few verses that some cite to oppose those relationships have nothing to do with LGBT people,” Vines asserts on the Reformation Project website. “Careful, persistent arguments about those passages have the power to change every Christian church worldwide, no matter how conservative its theology.”

“There, we will equip them with the tools and training they need to go back to their communities and make lasting changes to beliefs and interpretations that marginalize lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people,” he outlines. “Once they go back, we will continue to offer them personal, financial, and infrastructural support for months and years to come.”

The majority of those that were selected to attend the conference are members of evangelical churches. Alabama, California, Louisiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Massachusetts and numerous other states are represented by the chosen “reformers.”

Vines, a homosexual, had raised funds for the project earlier this year, generating over $100,000 in under two months. He has been recognized for a YouTube video in which Vines delivered a message explaining his contention that homosexuality and Christianity are compatible.

However, some have expressed strong disagreement with Vines and assert that he is twisting Scripture to suit his lifestyle. James White of Alpha Omega Ministries recorded a five-hour broadcast in response to Vines’ message, refuting his teaching line by line.

“What Matthew Vines has done in his rebellion against God [is] he has chosen to rebel against God’s created order, and then to blame everybody else for the result of pain and suffering that his own capitulation to his sexual desires has brought into his life,” he stated.

White explained that in the beginning, God specifically created a helpmeet for the man–the woman. He noted that in the New Testament, Jesus pointed back to the Scriptures in Genesis and reiterated this specific design–which He created.

“One of the biggest themes in all Scripture is the reality that God is creator of all things, and therefore, He determines what is natural and right for all things,” he stated. “What needs to be said clearly and forcefully is that Christian teaching on marriage found in the Christian Scriptures, in the words of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, is one man and one woman together–becoming one flesh. That is the only relationship that God has ordained, and it is the only relationship that He will bless.”

“You may complain about that. You may wish to change God’s views, but don’t call that Christianity,” White asserted. “Call it whatever you want to call it, [but] don’t call it reflective of Jesus’ teaching, because isn’t.”
